Spotlight on AALANA Faculty & Staff
Emerson U.
Fullwood, former
Xerox Corp. vice
president and executive chief of staff and
marketing officer for
Xerox North America, has been very
involved in RIT and Rochester community efforts.
In 2004, Fullwood was named corporate vice president of Xerox Corp. and
executive chief of staff and marketing
officer for Xerox North America’s $9
billion business. In his most recent
Xerox assignment, Fullwood directed
marketing operations for the entire
portfolio of Xerox offerings, including
office systems, digital production
equipment and Global Services,
through the complete spectrum of direct and indirect sales, and marketing
organizations. Prior to this assignment, he served as president of the
Xerox Channels Group, where he
managed worldwide sales, marketing
and distribution of office products
through resellers, agents, concessionaires and dealers.
An active business leader, Fullwood
sits on the board of directors of SPX
Corp., Vanguard Group and Ameri-
Group. Formerly, he served on the
board of General Signal Corp. He
frequently is named among the nation’s top executives, earning recognition in 2007 from Black Enterprise
magazine as one of the “75 Most
Powerful African-Americans in Corporate America,” and in 2004 from VARBusiness magazine as one of the
“Top 100 Executives” responsible for
supporting computer resellers.
A passionate community leader, Fullwood serves as a board member,
trustee or officer for a range of organizations including Rochester Urban League; Rochester Boy Scouts
of America Otetiana Council; Monroe
Community College Foundation;
North Carolina A&T University; and
Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity
School and United Way of Greater
Rochester. He also works with several professional and church organizations.
