ZEND CORE Instead of manually setting up the PHP environment, you can install a ‘package’ such as Zend Core. The software is free, and optional support is offered for a fee Download and install Zend Core from http://www.zend.com Latest version is 2.5.2 Once installed, you have an environment ready to work with PHP and DB2. Ensure the extensions are enabled as show on the next slide Procedure: Open the Zend Core control center From a browser go to: http://localhost/ZendCore/ Log on using the password you specified when installing Zend Core Click on the Configuration -> Extensions tab See printscreens on next slides Ensure ibm_db2 and pdo_ibm extensions are enabled If they were not enabled, restart the Apache server (one way to do this, is from Services and restarting the “ZendCoreApache” service) ZendCore Control Center ZendCore PHP Configuration
