The standard of using network in dormitory
1. Purpose:
Dormitory network is part of the campus network, therefore, "The standard of
using network in campus" is also suitable for dormitory. The major purpose of
dormitory network is supporting the research; it is convenient for students to do the
search and learning through internet, as well as share the information and
cooperation. In order to operating and managing the network resource more
effectively, the computer center established this standard.
2. The standard of using network in dormitory
1. Users are mainly students live in our dormitory.
2. The "Dormitory Network Manager" is responsible for dealing with the
problems, such as set up and other breakdown.
3. It is not allowed to disturb the other internet users or software. This kind of behavior, such as
spreading the virus, invading the unauthorized computer or other similar situation is prohibited. The
person who violates the rule will be punished with the school law, or other criminal law.
4. It is prohibited to transfer the threatened, harassed, unfriendly and commercial information.
5. Boarders should have their own personal computer network card (RJ-45)
and a network cable (UTP).
6. The network in the dormitory is installed with the room number. Users
should use the set up by the rule, and should not use other boarders' cyber
resource.
7. If boarder invades other computers with virus personal computer, the boarder will be ban for using
the network.
8. The computer center will hold the regular maintenance for dormitory
network during the summer and winter vacation, which will be close
temporary.
9. The working of dormitory network is monitored by computer center. If there
is any serious violation, he/ she should be ban for using and punished accord
to the school law.
