2015-2016 RETESTING REGISTRATION FORM
College applicants may elect to retest one time only in Sentence Skills, Reading Comprehension,
Arithmetic, and Elementary Algebra after waiting a minimum of 30 days from the original test date.
Procedure for Retesting:
Step 1: Complete a copy of the Retesting Registration Form and submit it to the appropriate campus for the ATC
Testing Center location of your choice.
Step 2: Pay the Cashier a retesting fee of $15.00 for each section in which you will retest. Payment can be made via
telephone by contacting the Cashier at 706-355-5121. (Please note on your registration form if you pay by telephone.)
The fee is non-refundable after the exam has begun on your scheduled test date.
Step 3: The Retest Registration Form and payment must be submitted to the ATC Campus of your choosing at least
24 hours prior to the selected test date. Testing is done on a first-come, first-served basis. If the test session you
want is full, it may be necessary for you to choose another date.

The Retest Registration Form and payment must be submitted to the ATC Campus of your choosing at least 24
hours prior to the selected test date. Testing is done on a first-come, first-served basis. If the test session you
want is full, it may be necessary for you to choose another date.
Students who score below the Regular Admission range after being retested will be placed in the learning support
courses that correspond with their highest current placement score in the area being evaluated. To be eligible for
admission to any program at Athens Technical College (except Commercial Truck Driving), a student must score above the
Adult Education level in Sentence Skills, Reading Comprehension, Arithmetic, and Elementary Algebra on ACCUPLACER,
COMPASS or ASSET.
Except for currently enrolled high school students, all applicants who retest and score a second time in the Adult
Education range in the basic skills areas of writing, reading, and/or math (pre-algebra) will be referred to the Adult
Education Center in their county of residence for remedial work before being allowed to retest an additional time.
High school students scoring in the Adult Education range will not be allowed to retest again until after they graduate from
high school.
