We’re at the start of another great year and it is a privilege to
welcome you back – or for the first time – to the University of
Virginia. This newsletter is meant to keep you informed and
connected. We welcome feedback for we hope you find this

MADISON HOUSE VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION
Begins August 27
Madison House program registration begins today. With 19 programs, Madison House offers over 120
volunteer opportunities that range from tutoring to animal care to healthcare. Check the website to view
program descriptions and to register.
Terry McAuliffe for Governor Internship Fall 2013
The internship is geared towards students who are interested in campaign organizing as well as
policy. You will have first hand experience talking to voters about the issues and learning from
people in the field.
If interested please contact [email protected] by September 5th.
The internship lasts till November 6th.
White House Summer 2014 internship
Program is designed to mentor and cultivate today’s young leaders, strengthen their
understanding of the Executive Office of the President and prepare them for future public service
opportunities.

STUDY ABROAD FAIR

This is an opportunity for students to meet study abroad providers and learn more about study abroad
