Program for Neglected Students
Under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, school districts must reserve federal funds to
support students who are identified as being neglected and reside in institutions or participate in
designated programs. In Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), Title I funds are used
to support two programs, MCPS Alternative Programs and National Children Center for
Families.
