What is the Extended Learning Opportunities Summer Adventures in Learning (ELO SAIL) program? ELO SAIL is a special opportunity for children to improve reading and mathematics skills. The program will provide a head start on learning for the upcoming school year. with their school and the school routines. We believe that everyone who is eligible should enroll. 2. Who is eligible to attend the program? Students entering kindergarten through second grade in September 2017 in any of the 22 participating Title I schools may attend. 5. How will my child get to and from the program? Montgomery County Public Schools will provide free bus transportation to and from the program from established neighborhood bus stops. 3. Is my child required to attend the program this summer? The program provides an additional 25 half-days of instruction and is viewed by many as the first days of the school year. The benefits for students include maintaining and improving skills in reading and mathematics during the summer, when children tend to lose skills.
