PROCEDURES
All new and returning students must contact their advisor to register for classes. Visiting students must
contact Ranae Strickland to register for classes. Registration will begin on Friday, April 1, 2016 and end
on Sunday, April 30, 2016. Students must always contact their advisor to register for classes. Graduate
students CANNOT register online.

Please note: Graduate students may register for classes up to the 2 class meeting. Students who attend
classes without being officially registered for the course will not be given credit for the course. If you are not on
the roll for the class you are taking, you must see Ranae Strickland in office 224.
A student must be fully admitted to a program before registering for a third course. If you have any questions on

Graduate Schedule, Summer 2016
Graduate Credit
Courses may apply toward a graduate degree upon official admission to the graduate program at Campbell
University. A student must hold a baccalaureate degree to be eligible for credit in a graduate course.
These courses may be used for renewal of teacher licenses. All questions concerning license renewal should be
directed to the student’s school unit.
Withdrawal from a
Course
Students must officially withdraw from a class to avoid receiving a grade of “F” for the class and being charged
for the class. Students who officially drop a class by the second night of class will receive a full refund. Classes
th
dropped after the second night but prior to midterm (7 night of class), may be refunded up to one-half tuition. No
refunds will be made after midterm.
Withdrawal from a class cannot be completed through Web Access. An official form for withdrawing from a
course may be obtained outside the School of Education Graduate Office (room 224). The form must be returned
to Ranae Strickland in room 220 or by mail to PO Box 369, Buies Creek, NC 27506. It is the responsibility of the
student to obtain all necessary signatures. To receive a full refund, the student must drop the class prior to the
beginning of the second class meeting.
Comprehensive
Exams
Graduation
MSA and Counseling students must take and pass comprehensive exams. Students that were in an M.Ed.
program prior to fall 2011 must also take comprehensive exams. Students beginning an M.Ed. program in the fall
2011 or after do not take comprehensive exams but must submit an electronic portfolio. The comprehensive
exams are administered two times yearly, (3 for MSA) typically, the second Saturday in November and the third
Saturday in March, the third (MSA only) will be in June. APPLICATIONS to take the comprehensive exams in

November are due by September 15 . Applications to take the comprehensive exams in March are due by January
th
30 . Retakes for students that did not pass the March Administration and MSA students may register for the June
Administration of comprehensive exams. The applications for retakes and MSA students for June are due by May
th
15 . Applications must be turned into your advisor by the deadline. Application forms are available outside room
224. See your advisor if you have questions.
You must apply to graduate. Please see Ranae Strickland in office 224 for your registration form. Deadline for
August graduation will be posted when it is set by registrar’s office. You will be able to participate in the December
graduation since we do not have a ceremony in August. Your gown and hood must be purchased at the bookstore.
