NORTH BETHESDA MIDDLE SCHOOL Portable/Electronic Music Device User Agreement for the Mile Run Students are eligible to use iPods and other music devices while running if they have: successfully completed the mile previously and have changed into appropriate PE clothing. Students will abide by the following rules if they choose to listen to music while running: Students must keep devices turned off, with ear buds out until after the teacher has given instructions; students must turn devices off and take ear buds out before entering the school building; students may use devices for music only. The use of camera, video or other features is strictly prohibited and will result in the immediate loss of privileges; students may be subject to further consequences if so deemed by the administration. Students who fail to follow the above rules will have their music device confiscated, their parents contacted and they will not be permitted to bring their music device to PE for the remainder of the school year. Confiscated devices may be retrieved from the main office at the end of the school day. Staff members have the authority to revoke music privileges at any time, for any reason. NBMS is NOT responsible for any damages, loss or theft of any electronic devices. Use of electronic devices during the mile run is a privilege, not a right. Please do not ruin this for yourself or your classmates. This agreement may be revoked at anytime. We have read the above agreement, and our signatures indicate agreement with all of these guideline. We understand that neither MCPS nor NBMS are responsible for any damages, loss or theft of electronic devices.
