Compact Mass Spectrometer
An affordable high-performance
liquid chromatography (LC) system is
available to complement Advion’s line of
expression compact mass spectrometers
(CMS). Leveraging the 100–240 VAC
requirements, the LC/CMS system
can become transportable on a cart or
installed in space-restricted benches and
hoods, allowing for easy access. With
unrivaled ease-of-use, and the ability
to utilize the CMS for multi-modalities,
Advion’s LC/CMS offers chemists within
teaching labs, research facilities, and
industry a high-performance solution
at an affordable price. LC/MS is an
important technique for complex sample
analysis, especially final synthetic route
steps, registration vial characterization,
and publication-quality data, while
offering a level of high purification
certainty. Integration of the system
through the Clarity software program
with full quantitation and 21CFR11
compliance makes it a complete LC
solution.

Quantitative Proteomics Platform
Quadrupole ToF MS System
The Xevo G2-XS mass spectrometer is a
new high-performance benchtop quadrupole time-of-flight (QTof) mass spectrometer. Featuring the new XS Collision
Cell, the Xevo G2-XS QTof stands alone
among its peers in offering uncompromised analytical sensitivity and selectivity
in a benchtop QTof mass spectrometer.
The Xevo G2-XS QTof mass spectrometer
combines the new XS Collision Cell with
the proven, signature technologies of TofMRM, StepWave, and QuanTof to deliver
optimum levels of robust sensitivity and
selectivity, resulting in the detection of
more low-level compounds than ever
before. For targeted quantitative experiments, Tof-MRM mode delivers a 10-fold
improvement in signal-to-noise when
compared with full scan mode, resulting in
limits of detection and quantification that
completely redefine expectations for a
benchtop high-resolution mass spectrometer. Another feature of the Xevo G2-XS
QTof is the Waters mass spectrometry
technology, a patented method of data
acquisition that comprehensively catalogs
complex samples in a single analysis.

The TripleTOF 6600 system with SWATH
Acquisition 2.0 is the company’s
revolutionary solution for quantitative
proteomics. This high-resolution,
accurate-mass system, combined
with the new SWATH Acquisition 2.0,
brings new power to proteomic data
challenges for advanced biomarker
discovery and systems biology. As the
emphasis in proteomics research shifts
from cataloguing to comprehensive
quantitation, the system enables the
quantification of thousands of proteins
across large sample sets with a level
of data completeness and quantitative
accuracy and precision that have only
been achievable by “gold-standard,”
targeted MRM in the past. The TripleTOF
6600 system with SWATH 2.0 truly
transforms proteomics research by providing an advanced level
of data completeness and quantitative accuracy. Now, with
the increased dynamic range of the TripleTOF 6600 System,
researchers can more deeply interrogate complex samples.
Combined with innovative variable window acquisition and the
SWATH 2.0 processing software, a significant improvement in
quantitative results has been realized.

CellCarrier Ultra 384-well microplates are
designed specifically for high-content
screening (HCS). The improved plate design results in higher quality image data
and more robust results from HCS applications. The CellCarrier Ultra 384-well
microplates are designed for enhanced
performance in high-content imaging
applications where the imaging surface
is critical for generating high-resolution
images and quality data. The plates are
black and precisely engineered to have
an extremely flat surface for efficient imaging. They are made using cyclic olefin,
a plastic that has glass-like optical properties, to provide a clearer image. Additional features of the microplates include
better well access when using water
immersion, high numerical aperture objectives with an ultralow plate bottom, an
improved lid design that reduces evaporation, corner spacers that avoid damaging the imaging surface when stacking,
and a choice of different coatings to suit
specific applications.

UltraFAIMS Platform
The UltraFAIMS series of products have
been developed to enhance mass spectrometry by quickly simplifying complex
mass spectra, separating isobaric ions,
and reducing background. UltraFAIMS is
a miniaturized chip-based FAIMS (Field
Asymmetric Ion Mobility Spectrometry) platform technology that can be
interfaced with mass spectrometers to
provide an additional in-source separation stage for isobaric analytes, protein
and peptide charge states, large and
small proteins, isomers, and conformers.
Miniaturizing the chip has allowed the
generation of much higher field strengths
than have been available in previous
FAIMS systems. This means that a greater range of analytes can be separated,
at faster speeds, without compromising the system sensitivity. The
newly launched UltraFAIMS ion filters incorporate the miniaturized
FAIMS chip, and can be retrofitted onto mass spectrometers. The
low-cost modules have been shown to improve mass accuracy
and detection limits, increase the level of quantitation and dynamic
range, reduce background, and provide additional real-time separation within LC peaks.
