The Klamath Experiment Station pasture trial completed in 1965 on
the HolliAay Ranch on the Keno Road has six seasons of production results. The average production of these five forage mixtures is given
in the tables below in terms of pounds of beef per acre and average
daily gain.

The improved production of Kentucky bluegrass and white clover compared with the other mixtures is bblieved due to two factors - frequent
r the past six years.
light irrigations and progressively cooler seasons
It should a!so be noted that the white clover should receive much of
the credit for the production. It comprised about 55 percent of the forage
during the past three seasons.
