Kelley Bio 2015

I am in my fifth year of teaching and this is my second year teaching at Stone Mill! Along
with fourth grade, I have taught fifth and sixth grade! My favorite part about teaching is
getting to know each of my students and having fun while we learn!
I graduated from Cherokee High School in Marlton, New Jersey and received my teaching
degree from Towson University. You may remember me as Ms. Cowan, however, I was
married last year to my wonderful husband Chris, and have now become Mrs. Kelley! You
also may be able to tell, my husband and I are expecting our first child, a baby boy, due in
October! Aside from preparing for the arrival of my son, I enjoy visiting my family, who live
all over the United States. I am closest with my Mom, who lives in New Jersey, and visit her as
often as I can! I also love spending time with my friends, shopping, and taking care of my two
year old yellow lab, Bronco! I am a huge sports fan! I love watching any sport, but truly love
football and baseball. Since I am from South Jersey, I am an Eagles fan, and also a Denver
Bronco’s fan because of my husband! However, I have learned to appreciate all of the
“home teams” as I’ve moved around after college. My favorite subject in school is Math, but
Reading is a close second. My favorite subject to teach is Science and I am excited for all of
the fun things we will be able to explore this year!
I am so excited to start my second year at Stone Mill and look forward to a wonderful year!
