It is important that you check your child’s green school folder, complete any
information, and repack it in his/her backpack. Also, don’t forget to sign up to
volunteer for our first party of the year –Halloween. Also, please remember to
bring a water bottle every day.
Reading
The students are identifying the characters in
fictional stories.
Students will compare
the similarities and differences of literary and
informational text as
they identify the front
cover, back cover, and
title page of a book. Students use their listening
skills to confirm understanding of a text read
aloud by asking and answering questions about
key details. With
prompting and support,
students will ask and
answer questions about
key details in a text and
describe the relationship
between illustrations and
the text in which they
appear.
