by tens to 100. We will also review the following items for

County Reading Test
The month of January is a busy month for Kindergarten students. The students will be tested in reading
and in math. The students will take the county reading test from January 4th-January 29th. It is very
important that your child comes to school everyday
and on time. Your child should eat a good breakfast in
the morning and have a good night’s sleep the night
before. Your child will be asked to perform several
tasks and we do not want anything to hamper their
performance. Please review letter sounds, letter
recognition, and high frequency words with them.
The students will also be asked to answer several
questions like retelling a story and blending sounds
together. If your child will be absent please let your
child’s teacher know.
