Provost’s Development Forum
Purpose: To provide academic/athletic leadership the opportunity to come together around the business of
fundraising at the University of Virginia both from a content perspective (‘big ideas’/pan-University
initiatives, institutional brand) and a practical perspective (best practices, effective resource allocation,
delivery and quality of services provided).
The Forum will serve as a catalyst for the internal planning that will guide the institution’s fundraising
strategy leading into, and throughout, the next campaign.
Format: Chaired by the Provost and the Senior VP for University Advancement, the Forum will meet
quarterly.
Membership:
 Executive VP & Provost
 Executive VP for Health Affairs
 Deans of the University’s 11 schools/colleges
 Directors of centers/programs that engage in significant philanthropic activity
 Director of Athletics
 Vice Provosts for major pan-University initiatives
 Senior VP for University Advancement
 Senior Associate VP for Development
