Writing
In writing we will focus on characteristics of
a good paragraph or essay and writer’s craft.
Students will begin researching an energy
source to gather information to compose
both an informative and opinion piece about
their energy source. Students will also be
working on strategies to improve their
writing by editing their work for proper
capitalization, language use, punctuation and
spelling. Words their Way will continue to
be our program for improving spelling and
learning about spelling patterns.
Science
In Science we will continue learning about
elements of force and motion. We will also
continue to look at the engineering design
process as part of our STEM focus.
Social Studies
In Social Studies we will focus on leaders of
the American Revolution and look at
important turning points in U.S. history.
