Wow, can you believe it is already October?
Hopefully you will be able to visit our classrooms during Open
House on Oct. 12th from 9:30-12:30pm. We look forward to
seeing you there. A letter will be coming home soon about our
upcoming Halloween party on October 30th. All parents are welcome to come to this celebration.

What’s Happening:

Math:
This month we will focus
on the genre of informational text. Within a given
text, we will work on asking and answering questions about key details in
text. We will also learn to
distinguish between information given in pictures/
illustrations and information given in the text.
This month we will be
working on addition
and subtraction situations Such as counting
on, counting back,
putting together, taking apart, adding to,
taking from, comparing

categorical data such
as bar graphs and pictographs.
