flourishing and your children

These reading groups are fluid.
Your children are able to work
with varied groups on focused
skills in order to maximize
instruction for their individual
needs!
Our Science
focus will
be on animals
and their life cycles.
We will focus on needs and
adaptations during the
winter months as well as the
reasons for hibernation.
Winter Break begins
on Thursday,
December 24th.
We will see you back
in school on Monday,
January 4th!
Please make sure
to label coats,
hats, scarves,
and gloves with
your child’s
name.
We will be comparing
physical and manmade features in
Social Studies. We will
also be exploring and
utilizing various
types of maps!
We continue to work on the
development of number
sense in Mathematics.
This month we will focus on:
- counting by 1s to 31
- counting on (from a
number other than 1)
- connecting number
words, numerals, &
quantities
- counting strategies
- counting by 10s to 100
