Dear Parents of Fourth Grade Students,
I am Carolyn Gipe, the general/choral music teacher at College Gardens Elementary School. It is a joy to work with your
children! I am excited to begin our concert season together. For your ready reference, I have put together some information
regarding our upcoming performances. Sadly, due to scheduling restrictions, each chorus shall only meet for one semester
this year. 4th Grade Chorus meets for semester one, and 5 th Grade Chorus meets for semester two.

For all events, the auditorium doors shall open to the public at 6:45 PM. On Tuesday, November 24th, Richard Montgomery
High School shall be accepting donations of non-perishable food items to benefit area food banks as you arrive for the
Choral Cluster Concert. Of course, you are not required to bring a donation to be allowed admission to the concert, but any
and all food donations would be most sincerely appreciated.
Mr. Frezzo, the choral director at Richard Montgomery HS, strongly urges everyone to consider car-pooling as parking shall
be very tight on November 24, 2015. He suggests that we come in via the South side (near Marlo) or the North side (on
Fleet Street). You may park in the bus loop.
There is no admission charge for our CGES Choral Concerts. In keeping with tradition, all of our fourth and fifth graders
are asked to wear black pants/skirt, black/very dark shoes and a plain white top for the concert.
The Concert Participation Sheet can be found on the second page. Please complete it, and return it to me via
your child’s homeroom teacher by Friday, November 13, 2015.

