News from our Specialists:
Art:
In November, Kindergarten students will begin Texture before moving
on to 2D and 3D art. We will learn about the difference between
tactile verses visual texture and use textures found around the room
to create a drawing with crayons. Next, we will make a cave
painting using watercolor paints and a mixture of drawing tools that
show texture. After that, we will use some texture patterns to make
our own clay medallions which we will paint using watercolor and a
shiny glaze.
P.E:
In Physical Education, Kindergarten students will be working on
catching a self-thrown ball.
Music:
Kindergarten will continue to work on following instructions in singing
games. We will continue to explore our singing voices. Students will
explore the steady beat through playing classroom instruments. We
will also respond to the steady beat by using movement.
