Third Grade - Fifth Grade Program

We will be doing lots of fun and
challenging things in physical education
class. Please make sure you come
prepared for class. Wear comfortable
clothes and tennis shoes or sneakers.
The 3rd through 5th grade program strives to develop
the following:
1. To develop competency in both basic gross motor
skills and sport specific skills based upon each
individual’s potential.
2. To develop a level of physical fitness based upon
each child’s potential with an understanding of the
concepts of fitness, how those concepts are
achieved, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
3. To develop a knowledge and appreciation of
teamwork, cooperation, and compassion for others
while promoting individual achievements and selfesteem through physical and social activities.
4. To develop good sportsmanship this goes along with
our six pillars of character (respect, caring,
trustworthiness, fairness, responsibility, and
citizenship.
