Graduation rate is high due to improvement in management information systems at
SUSLA. The implementation of Banner and SAS systems have improved SUSLA's
capabilities to monitor student matriculation activities resulting in accurate student
profile demographics. Consequently, graduation rates are increasing due to accurate
student tracking. These systems will also enhance SUSLA's tracking of Retention

Three year graduation rate (Fall 1999) Headcount for First year first time (beginning
freshmen) students enrolled in fall 1999 was 307. Among this cohort, 85 graduated
within 150% time. Graduation rate = (85/307)* 100 = 27.68 Graduation rate is high
due to improvement in student tracking systems at SUSLA. The implementation of
Banner and SAS systems have improved SUSLA's student tracking capabilities
resulting in accurate student headcounts. Consequently, graduation rates are
increasing duet to accurate student tracking. These systems will also enhance
SUSLA's tracking of Retention Rates.
