About the Survey Southern University at Shreveport’s (SUSLA) Strategic Planning Survey is designed to gather perceptions regarding areas for institutional improvement and guide the development of the strategic plan. Of all stakeholders surveyed, alumni and friends are most likely to indicate willingness to participate in Southern University at Shreveport’s continuing Strategic Plan efforts. Graduate Preparedness 71% 67% report that SUSLA provides students with technological competencies. state that SUSLA provides successful research and information literacy training. Other areas where alumni and friends highlight SUSLA training are professional and ethical behavior (58 percent), critical thinking and quantitative reasoning (59 percent) and written and oral communication (59 percent). Suggested Improvements Mission 85% 36% 76% 68% The 85 percent of alumni and friend respondents who report that SUSLA is fulfilling its institutional mission represents the largest percentage of all stakeholder groups.
