WS 6: 2012 Greece Project
SWBAT: design a presentation that explains the major cultural achievements of the Greek civilization, such as art, science, political systems, and philosophy. Greek Philosophers • The students will research 2 Ancient Greek philosophers/leaders/and or historians and create a power‐point of their accomplishments and then write eulogies. (If done in pairs, they would need to do 2 philosophers each.) • The students must also write which philosopher they think was more relevant to modern society and provide 3 points as to why they believe this. Possible Choices: Pythagoras, Hippocrates, Pericles, Sophocles, Solon, or Thucydides. Example of Pairs Partner 1: Hippocrates and Pericles Partner 2 Sophocles and Solon
