TRIO Student Support Services Staff
Choose an Entry Point
Option 1: Enrolled in SUSLA as a full-time or part-time student
Option 2: Current students continuing their studies at SUSLA enter through SSS Fall Intake
(September) or SSS Spring Intake (January).
Three Steps to Apply
Step 1: Complete an TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Screen Application.
Step 2: Complete an SSS Program Application and Noel Levitz Needs Survey.
Step 3: Speak with an SSS counselor.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT
U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident - You also must meet at least ONE of the following criteria to be considered for eligibility:



Be a first generation college student (neither parent holds a bachelor's degree)
Meet low-income federal guidelines
Have a documented disability
1. Be interested in transferring to a four-year college or university
2. Be enrolled at SUSLA with at least two semesters remaining or (less than 60 hours)
3. Be enrolled in or above MATH 0088 and English 089
Be willing to participate in and benefit from the services, opportunities, and resources provided by
this program

TUTORS GET THE
HELP YOU NEED
SSS provides tutors for most lower level classes. This tutoring is provided in Building F (NCR)
Tutorial Lab. These tutoring sessions are mostly one to one or small groups.
TRIO SSS students are eligible for one-to-one tutoring in most classes. In addition to one-toone TRIO tutoring
services, students also take advantage of SSS academic counselling services for FREE.
SSS TUTORS
SSS tutors cover a variety of subjects as requested by students. For an up-to-date schedule
of Lab tutoring send an email to [email protected] or stop by room C15 in the Fine Arts
Building.
