Research
Major research interests focus on industrial energy -saving, green process
development of carbon dioxide utilization, phase equilibrium and correlation
development for special chemicals, reactive distillation technology and reaction
kinetics. Various apparatuses have been installed for data measuring over wide
ranges of temperature and pressure. These information is used to form a basis for
developing green chemical processes.
Current research topics
 Carbonates manufacturing in batch and continuous processes at mild
conditions

Urea derivatives manufacturing in subcritical and supercritical conditions
CO2 + RNH2 + R’NH2 → RNHCOHNR’ + H2O

Phase equilibrium and reactive distillation for special chemicals, DPCs, and
their related reactions


Industrial energy saving and intensification technology for distillation process.
Noble metals and glass recovery from environmental wastes.
