System • Liquid Transmission DESIGN Design Methodology. This is a review of preferred engineering practice in determining flow rates, capacity requirements, and system sizing. Included are watershed area definition, drainage pattern layout, factors for rainfall frequency/duration/intensity, runoff coefficients, and calculation of peak flow rates and system storage requirements. Guidelines for sizing pipe, manifolds, and fittings are presented, and are supported on the CD-ROM by AutoCad Release 13 drawing blocks which can be inserted into specific site design plans.
