Federal Parent Plus Direct Loans are only available to biological parents, step-parents, or adoptive parents of undergraduate students.

In order to participate in the Federal Parent Plus Direct Loan Program, you must do the following:
Sign in at www.StudentLoans.gov (using Parent’s FAFSA user name and password)
• Complete the Direct PLUS Loan Request Process
(must be completed for each additional request / credit decision expires after 180 days)
NOTE: You will be notified by Direct Loans of the credit decision – “Accepted” on webaccess is not an indication that the loan
has been credit approved – only that it was certified/originated by the Campbell University Loan Dept. to Dept. of Ed.
• Complete the electronic Direct PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN)
(be sure to click “submit”)
*If Endorser required, Endorser must complete an Endorser Addendum
- notify the CU Loan Department if Endorser approved

• Complete this Loan Authorization Form and submit to the Financial Aid Office
(Loans must be processed prior to the end of the semester)
• Student’s must register for six (6) or more credit hours each semester/block by census date
(Loans will not disburse if student’s enrollment falls below 6 credits)
• Must meet SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) requirements (see website for SAP Policy)
(Loans will not disburse if you do not meet SAP per term of the loan)
Reference your student’s Financial Aid awards for your loan eligibility. If your student has been awarded for only one
semester, or will be graduating, indicate the appropriate response for the loan period below.

By my signature, I hereby authorize Campbell University to process my William D. Ford Federal Plus Direct Loan and when the funds become available, to transfer the
proceeds of each of my Federal Plus Direct Loan disbursements to my student’s account at Campbell University. I understand that my student’s account will reflect a
credit each time a transfer of loan proceeds is made and that the Campbell University Business Office will notify the student of such crediting. I understand that my
Federal Plus Direct Loan will enter repayment immediately after the last disbursement for this school year unless I request a deferment from the Dept. of Education. I
also understand that the Department of Education may deduct fees before my loan proceeds are sent to Campbell.
