Professional Day for Teachers
Our year keeps rolling along with great things happening all the
time. We finish off 2013 with a staff appreciation cookie exchange
with the help of 35 volunteers and a fun Shop and Eat event – see
below and the attached flyers for more information. Mr. Sinclair
will be leaving us for 6 weeks when we return from break to give
Mr. Davis his time as Principal. Be sure to say good-bye or rather
see you soon before we take off for winter break.
2014 brings two exciting events. First our second student social
will be held in January and in February a Family Fitness Night. For
the FFN we are looking to put together a planning committee to
ensure that the family night will be enjoyed by all. The planning
meeting will be on Jan. 9th at 10:40am. Please join us at Redland.
Starting in January we will be starting our search for our 20142015 treasurer and other board positions. Please consider getting
involved.

PLANNING MEETING
THIS THURSDAY JAN 9th, 10:40am
The RMS PE Department and PTA invite
you to help plan Fitness in February we
want to include your ideas for a night of fun
and fitness for RMS students and their
families!
** The idea behind Fitness in February is to provide
an evening of fun and fitness for the RMS families.
Including ideas such as - but NOT limited
to ...aerobics, healthy snack(s), are you
stronger/faster/more flexible then your middle
schooler, basketball jamboree…the building is the
limit. It has been a great event in the past … let’s
make it happen again!
THANK YOU Mrs. Brandt and Mr. Hwang for taking
the time to present at the October PTA meeting. The parents
appreciate the extra mile you go to keep parents informed.
THANK YOU Jane Tom for putting together the
staff appreciation luncheon. THANK YOU to all the parents
who provided a soup, salad, dessert or anything else. The
staff very mush enjoyed the dinner.
THANK YOU Tam Miller for coordinating the honor
roll celebration treats for our Bulldog Honor Roll students.
THANK YOU Dawn Trahern and Tina Williams for
completing the 2012-2013 audit of the PTA financials.

Redland Middle School loves volunteers!
JANUARY STAFF APPRECIATION is in
need of a parent interested coordinating a treat. A
small token of appreciation/ a mailbox treat as they
come back from the winter break. It can work around
your schedule. We are here to help guide you through
the process. If January is no good for you … we are
looking for someone for February, March and May too.
