Professional Day for Teachers
It has been quite the winter – never know what the
weather will be doing and never know what the PTA
has up its sleeve. We had a full house at the January
PTA meeting and the January social. We appreciate
the support we have had and hope it will continue as
we continue thru the year.
Next week is a double header – Tuesday night will be
the PTA Meeting and on Wednesday, February 12th
is the Articulation Night at RMS. Come hear about
next year’s course offerings. Be involved in your
child’s education and make sure you are aware of the
options.

the beginning is important. I know it’s crazy
to think about it now BUT the end of the year
will be here before we know it – and we
have many positions opening next year starting with PTA Treasurer, VP of
Community Outreach, Bulldog Store CoChair and Staff Appreciation Coordinator.

DONATIONS NEEDED
:
As you clean out your closets, basements,
and storage areas, please remember the
Bulldog Store is always accepting
donations! We need new or gently used
items for middle school students such as
sports equipment, school supplies
(***especially new binders), books,
funny/cool t-shirts, board games, room
decorations, gaming accessories, art
supplies, posters, etc.
Please drop off your donations in the main
office and label it “Bulldog Store”.
RMS VOLUNTEERS ARE
1 in a MILLION!
THANK YOU Anu Francis for organizing the first ever
Shop and Eat Event. THANK YOU 5 Below and Jerry’s
Pizza and Subs, at the Aspen Hill Shopping Center, for
supporting Redland Middle School. We made a total of $50
from this event.
THANK YOU Dawn Trahern, Beatrice Hanson and
Tina Williams for coordinating the No Bake Staff Cookie
Exchange. THANK YOU Jane Tom and Tam Miller for the
decorating. THANK YOU to all the parents who baked a
dozen or two of their favorite holiday cookies. The staff had
fun.
THANK YOU PTA for the hot chocolate bar. The staff
certainly enjoyed warming up on a cold January day.
THANK YOU Amy Crawford, Jane Carstea, Nancy
Delalio, Kerri Reid, Jackie Koehn and Tam Miller for putting
the January social. Thank you to the many parent and staff
volunteers that evening – without you we could not have such
events. Over 200 Redland students enjoyed the evening.

Redland Middle School loves volunteers!
STAFF APPRECIATION is in need of a parent
interested coordinating some treats for the Redland staff. A small
token of appreciation or something bigger. It can work around
your schedule. We are here to help guide you through the
process. We are looking for someone for March and May too.
May is when we celebrate National Teacher Appreciation.
