Tuesday, May 13th
This month we will be celebrating our teachers as National Teacher
Appreciation Week is going on right now. At Redland we have
decided to spread the excitement throughout the month rather than
cramming it into one week. We started the month off with a visit
from Carmen’s Ice. Staff was able to select whatever flavor they
wanted and even came back for an extra scoop  We will be
leaving a special treat in their mailboxes towards the middle of May
and then end the month with a super salad luncheon. Keep a look
out for the sign up to contribute – time or donations.
Next week we will be having our last PTA meeting of the year. We
will take care of some important PTA business and then take an
opportunity to thank all of our volunteers, with a special thank you to
our committee chairs. Please be sure to join us.
On May 30th we have our fourth and final student social. Mark your
calendar so your student doesn’t miss out on the best social of the
year!
As we bring closure to this year, we need to think about sailing into
next year. I know … crazy … but true! THANK YOU to everyone
who has already joined our crew. If you would like to get involved
please look on the other side for more volunteer opportunities.

This spring the PTA purchased a new laminating machine for
Redland. The staff is extremely excited to have a working
laminating machine – the one they had was on it’s very last
limb.
THANK YOU to all of you who support the PTA in one way or
another but especially those who contributed to the direct
appeal. Without the financial support purchases like this are
not able to be made.
