Formatting your Poem in Google Docs
1. Highlight all of the text in the document by clicking and dragging the
mouse or by pressing CRTL-A on your keyboard.
2. Change the font to TIMES NEW ROMAN.
Click on the FONT BUTTON.
Select TIMES NEW ROMAN.
HINT: UNDO is
your friend! Press
CRTL-Z or click
the UNDO button
to undo previous
actions.

3. Highlight ONLY the heading and change the FONT SIZE to 12.
Click on the FONT SIZE button.
Select FONT SIZE 12.
4. Change the heading to include YOUR information.
5. Highlight the words: TITLE OF POEM and type in YOUR title.
6. Highlight ONLY the TITLE OF THE POEM and change the FONT SIZE to 14.
Click on the FONT SIZE button.
Select FONT SIZE 14.

7. Type in the rest of your poem.
8. Highlight ONLY the poem and change the FONT SIZE to 12.
Click on the FONT SIZE button.
Select FONT SIZE 12.
9. Highlight ONLY the poem and change the LINE SPACING to doublespace.
Click on the LINE SPACING button.
Select DOUBLE SPACE.
