How to Report during Uniform Inspection
When the inspector faces you during an in-rank inspection, cadets will
report immediately as follows:
“Sergeant or Sir/ Ma’am (if an officer or civilian is inspecting), I am
Cadet (Rank), (Last Name). I am a (9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th) grade student
in my (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th), year of JROTC. I am a member of (1st, 2nd, or
3rd) squad, (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) Platoon, (Alpha or Bravo) Company.
Example:
“Sergeant, I am Cadet Private Richardson, I am a 9th grade student in
my 1st year of JROTC. I am a member of 2nd squad, 3rd platoon, Bravo
Company”.
