Experimental Procedure
1.1 Where possible, equipment to be used for radioactive work will be contained within a radioactive tray.
1.2 Where containment within a tray is not possible, then materials will be kept on the bench top within an area
clearly delineated by radioactive tape.
1.3 Radioactive stock solutions and/or radioactive samples will be stored in a fridge or freezer clearly labelled
with Isostock number and within a box that is sufficient to hold any leaks. All will be clearly labelled as
radioactive.

Personnel should wear protective lab coats buttoned up fully and gloves. Face mask should be worn during
procedures likely to create an aerosol.
