Consider the following: Because it is the only undergraduate program of its kind, our students enjoy several unique resources. For example, the Gilbert T. Stephenson Trust Library is among the best collections of trust literature in the country. Our majors also participate annually in the Trust Advisors Forum. Moreover, Campbell sponsors The Southeastern Trust School each summer on campus. • Campbell University founded the only Trust and Wealth Management Program in the nation in 1968. • The faculty, two of whom are law school graduates, help students develop the analytical skills and technical expertise by applying similar teaching methods as those used in law school. • Students will be well-grounded in the areas of contract law, property law, corporate law, tax law, employee benefits law, investments, financial planning and estate planning. This preparation will prove invaluable in law school. • Over 95% of the Trust Program graduates within the last 20 years (who chose to pursue law school) have been accepted to law schools all over the country. • Graduates choosing not to pursue a career in law have any number of attractive trust and investment management related career options. • Graduates are qualified to sit for the CFP™ examination administered by the IBCFP and earn the CFP™ designation. This gives the graduate the additional option of pursing a career as a financial planner.* In addition, our students benefit from both the Gilbert T. Stephenson Trust Club and the Accounting and Financial Planning Club, which arrange speakers, social activities and community projects. The Campbell financial opportunities We established the Trust Education Foundation in 1971 to ensure, among other things, that students with high academic achievement and financial need could receive scholarship funding. Only Trust Management and Trust Pre-Law majors have access to these funds. Majors are also eligible to compete for many other business-related endowment scholarships. We offer executive-level continuing education programs to the trust and wealth industry nationwide. The contacts made at these programs have resulted in over 90% of our students choosing to pursue a career in trust and wealth management being placed prior to graduation. The Trust Program has ongoing relationships with Bank of America, BB&T, First Citizens Bank, JP Morgan Chase, PNC and Wells Fargo. Trust majors have the opportunity to participate in internships with the above institutions in New York, Seattle, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, Atlanta or Boston, among many other locations. The Campbell faculty Three faculty members specialize in trust management; two of these professors hold law degrees. In addition to being recognized for their teaching and research excellence, they have years of practical financial experience. All trust-related courses are taught by these teachers; you will not be learning from graduate assistants. Students enjoy Trust internships across the nation. In 2010, students were flown to New York City for a Bank of America intern welcome and training session. * CFP, Certified Financial Planner™ are certification marks owned by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. These marks are awarded to individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
