Schroders Adds Fixed Income Global
Multi-Sector Talent
New York, June 4, 2015 — Schroder Investment Management North America Inc. announces that an
experienced US-based team has joined the firm’s Fixed Income Global Multi-Sector team.
David Gottlieb, Vincent Messina and Whitney Tindalei joined from Third Wave Asset Management, a
firm they collectively founded in 2014. The team, based in New York, will manage a specialized strategy
focused on relative value opportunities (primarily in US rates markets) and will be part of the Global
Macro group, led by Bob Jolly. Mr. Gottlieb, Mr. Messina and Mr. Tindale each have more than 20 years
of investment management experience, and collectively, they have 50 years of hedge fund experience
employing relative value rates strategies.
Schroders has also added to the Fixed Income Global-Multi-Sector team in London, with the appointment
of Paul Grainger as Senior Portfolio Manager and Mads Nielsen as Quantitative Strategist. Paul and
Mads will both join in June, reporting to Bob Jolly

Schroders’ Fixed Income Global Multi-Sector team is responsible for managing UK, Euro and Global
Aggregate strategies, as well as Global Sovereign, Absolute Return and Unconstrained strategies.

judgmental framework with quantitative insights provided by our suite of systematic decision support
tools.

David Gottlieb has more than 25 years of fixed income product experience. Prior to Third Wave Asset
Management, David spent 11 years at EMF, where he was co-manager of the EMF Fixed Income Fund
portfolio and responsible for managing EMF’s day-to-day business operations. He has a B.S. in
Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Vincent Messina has more than 25 years of buy-side experience. Prior to Third Wave Asset
Management, he spent 14 years at EMF, where he served in various management roles including Chief
Operating Officer, Chief Risk Officer, and Chief Technology Officer. He has a B.S. in Computer Science
& Engineering and an MBA in Business & Finance from UCLA.
Whitney Tindale has more than 25 years of management experience. Prior to Third Wave Asset
Management, he spent 14 years at EMF, where he served in various management roles including Chief
Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he
received a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
