Attention Patrols:
Welcome Back!
We are well into the swing of things around Wayside and this year our patrol team is looking SHARP! We have approximately 15-20 students who have already earned their patrol
badges and there are daily pleas for more attempts. Thank you for working to know your
responsibilities and for being out there doing such a great job. Your help around the halls,
on the buses, at carpool, and with walkers and bus-stops is really great work. I have heard
from several sources many wonderful reports of all you are doing to make it work well and
thank you for pulling together and working towards the safe arrival and departure of all
Wayside students.
October 8th will be our next patrol meeting when we will attempt to select our FIRST patrol Captain of the 2015/16 school year. Remember this captain selection process works if
you are contributing to the acknowledgement of teammates who are really demonstrating
our Wayside leadership qualities of Respect, Responsibility and Safety around the building
- within and outside of our classrooms. Please make certain to take time to recognize your
patrol teammates for the efforts they demonstrate. You can do this by filling out a Patrol
Recognition Form and placing it in the PRB, (Patrol Recognition Box) located just inside the
doors of the gym - on the wall. Those recognition sheets are due in the box by the morning
of 7th of October. If you have questions about this process, come see me in the mornings or
after school.
