Reading and Writing


We made words with different letter sound
combination.
We made predictions, made text-to-self
connections, and discussed the dynamics of the
characters.
Optional Enrichment Activities:
Ask your child to retell the story of Johnny Town
Mouse. Which character would your child rather visit?
Science


Identify similar looking animals by comparing
observable features.
Sort animals based on their external features
or what they do
Optional Enrichment Activities:
Go on a nature walk with your child and record all of
the animals that you see. When you get home, explore
how many different ways you can sort the animals.
Math


We continued working on solving story
problems that involve both addition and
subtraction problems.
We practiced using ordinal numbers.
Optional Enrichment Activities:
Ask your child to write his/her own word problems.
Social Studies

We discussed the roles of consumers and
producers.
Optional Enrichment Activities:
Count the coins in your house and practice “buying”
fake items around the house.
