Super Person - How to Guide

What is Super Person? – Only you know how special your child is, but you don’t
always get to show their uniqueness. Super Person Day is specifically set aside for you to
share how special your child is. On this special day someone from home comes in and
shares with the class what makes your child a Super Person. Imagine how surprised your
child will be when you walk in!
Who can come in for Super Person? – Parents, grandparents, or anyone else who
can show why the Super Person is so special. (Unfortunately siblings at Wyngate are not
permitted to be pulled from class because they would miss instruction.)
Where and when will Super Person take place? – Each Super Person’s day is
celebrated in the classroom. A sign-up sheet is available. If none of the dates is
convenient for you other arrangements can be made.
How should I prepare for Super Person? – You know your child best so it is up to
you on how you would like to discuss your son or daughter. Some possibilities include:
-
Sharing family photos on a poster, a slideshow, or any other way you choose
Bringing in something special to your child (no pets please!)
Explaining or demonstrating an important tradition of your family’s
Sharing something your child collects.
Reading a special book
Organizing a special activity
How long is a Super Person Day? – The celebration is about twenty minutes. This
time includes introducing yourself, sharing how your child is special, or doing an activity.
Please refrain from bringing in food as we already have snack time and there are many
children with food allergies.
