Concluding remarks :
The school was the first of the kind organized in collaboration with CIMPA in the Southern African
region. AIMS which was hosting the school provided a significant support (financial, logistical,
human). Its staff was very efficient in providing assistance for the excellent running of the school.
The school was attended by 37 participants and lecturers from Europe (Slovakia, Scotland, France)
and several African countries (Burkina-Faso, Cameroon, Morocco, Senegal, Nigeria, South Africa,
Zimbabwe). Fruitful discussions were held around the need for a follow-up and there is no doubt that
strong ties between individual researchers were established. The school was a success and it is our
pleasure to thank CIMPA and our partners for their support.
The organizing committee.
