April Showers Bring May Flowers
April
This is such a busy time of year. It always
seems when spring begins there is a whirlwind
of activities at home and at school. April is
the time for blooming, not only outside the
classroom, but also inside. We have seen so
much growth and maturity, not to mention
academic progress and how close we have
become as classmates and team members.
Please
remember to practice basic
facts at home. First grade students need to
practice the strategies they learned to compute quickly and move on to memorizing the
answers. Research shows that this skill is
needed to be successful at more advanced
math levels.
