Basic facts (+,- within 10), and use strategies to
solve problems up to 20.

Suggested activities include games, on-line games,
flashcards, and puzzles.
Science & Social Studies

We will continue with read alouds of a
variety of poems, and begin creating our
“color poems.”

Identify and categorize
the resources used to produce
pancakes after reading Pancakes, Pancakes! by
Eric Carle.


Our field trip to the C & O Canal is on Wednesday, May 2. The first grade teachers wish
to express their heartfelt appreciation to all of the parents who expressed interest in being
a chaperone on their child’s field trip permission form. E-mail confirmation has
been sent to all of the parent chaperones. If you did not receive any
confirmation,please contact your child’s teacher as soon as possible.
