Literacy News
We have been continuing to work on letter recognition, letter sounds and identifying how
many syllables are in our names and other words. For reading, we are continuing to focus on
identifying the characters and setting for fiction books. For non-fiction books, we are looking
at what important information they give us. We will be starting holiday stories such as The
Gingerbread Man and starting rhymes to work on rhyming words.
Nos hemos sigue trabajando en el reconocimiento de letra, sonidos de las letras y la identificación de
sílabas cuántos son nuestros nombres y otras palabras. Para la lectura, continuamos para centrarse en la
identificación de los personajes y entorno para libros de ficción. Para los libros de no ficción, estamos
mirando qué importante información que nos dan. Estaremos a partir de historias de vacaciones como
el hombre de jengibre y a partir de rimas en palabras que riman.
Math News
We are continuing to work on counting items and matching the amount with the correct numeral.
We are starting to work on counting the days on a calendar. We are still looking at patterns and
sorting things by shape, color, size and with other categories too.
Seguimos contando elementos y emparejar la cantidad con el numeral correcto. Estamos empezando a
trabajar en el recuento de los días en un calendario. Aún estamos mirando patrones y cosas por forma,
color, tamaño y con otras categorías de clasificación también.
