Parent Reminders:

Please check your child’s
planner and take home folder
each night.

Students should be reading
20 or more minutes nightly.
May monthly reading
calendars are due by June
3rd.

As students finish a book,
they need to record the title
on their quarter 4 reading log.
Reading/Language Arts
In Reading class, students are
identifying the elements of folktales,
myths, legends, and fables. We will
also be performing reader’s theatre in
our classes.
In writing, we continue to work on
informational and opinion writing. The
students will write an essay based on
if they think students should wear
uniforms to school.
Math
In May, we will continue to
work with multi-step
problems involving all four
operations. We will review
strategies to solve
multiplication and division
problems. We will also tell
time to the nearest minute
and determine elapsed time.
Science
We will examine various
habitats and plant/animal
adaptations. We will discuss
invasive species and how it can
affect our environment.
Social Studies
We will continue to learn about
budgets, opportunity cost, and
making economic decisions.

Last day of school- Monday, June
20th –early release day
