PARCC Testing
Students in grades 3 through 5 will
participate in PARCC testing in May.
Please look at the schedule below to see
when your child will take his/her PARCC
assessment. All testing sessions will be
held in the morning. It is important
that all students are at school on time
on testing days and have had a good
nights rest. If you know your child will
be absent on the day he/she is
scheduled to take the PARCC
assessment, please let their teacher
know so we can prepare in advance to
make up the test with them. Thank you
for your support.
ESY Information
ESY decisions were made at annual review
meetings. If we have not had your child’s
annual review meeting, we will discuss ESY
when we meet next. Thank you to all
parents who returned the ESY student
information sheets, they were helpful
when submitting for transportation. If
you did not return the ESY student
information sheet, your home address was
used as the pickup and drop off location
for transportation. There was an error in
the start and end times in the letter that
was sent home. The ESY day will begin at
9:30 and end at 12:30. Sorry for the
confusion.

A Special Thank You to The PTA
Clearspring PTA has been very generous
with the Learning Center this year. They
have purchased a chromebook cart as well
as some additional chrome books that our
students have been able to use in 2nd
grade. They also gave us money to use to
buy items that support our students
sensory and OT needs. We are very
grateful to have such a wonderful and
supportive PTA. On behalf of all the
Learning Center teachers and students we
say “THANK YOU!!!”
April is Autism Awareness Month
National Autism Awareness Month represents an excellent opportunity to promote
autism awareness, autism acceptance and to draw attention to the tens of thousands
facing an autism diagnosis each year.
Summer Programs
and Camps
LOCATE: Child Care is a
free service offered by
The Maryland Family

parents of children with
disabilities find child
care and summer
programs. When
parents call LOCATE,
they will work with a
specialist to find child
care or programs that
meet the needs of the
family including type of
care, location, cost, and
the child’s disability.
