In Grade 3 social studies students learn about…
In Third Grade, students begin the year by
examining the roles of individuals, groups,
and leaders in a democratic society.
They consider rules, laws, rights and
responsibilities of citizens within the
classroom and community today through
the lens of making a positive difference by
taking action.
Students participate in an interdisciplinary
project that is centered around two driving
questions: How do people work together to
create a thriving community? What action
would you take to contribute to a thriving
community?
