I Can Reading: We will read literary text, poetry, and narrative stories, to identify words and phrases that appeal to the senses. We will also work on identifying who is telling the story at various points in the text. Writing: We will be studying, reading, and writing poetry. We will work on adding describing words (adjectives) and sensory words to our poems. Math: We will be focusing on addition and subtraction within 100. We will be using drawings and manipulatives to help us add within 100. Science: We will continue with our unit on Earth and Space Science. This includes the study of human actions that harm the environment. We will recognize that caring about our environment is important. Social Studies: We will start our unit in Economics. This includes the study of natural and human resources used to produce goods.
