APPLICATION FOR WCGE-TV NEWS CREW
Please print this application, fill it out, and return it to the media center on or before September 11, 2015!
We are looking for fourth grade students who are reliable, able to listen and follow directions,
and who stay on task. You have the opportunity to serve on the WCGE-TV morning news show
for the 2015-2016 school year.
There are several jobs to be performed on a crew (anchor, camera operator, audio technician, video
technician, technical director, communications director). Crew members must be willing to learn all jobs and
able to be in the media center by 9:20 AM during their crew shift (barring late busses). Crew members must
also be willing to possibly give up one recess each week to work on news stories. Crews are selected each year
on the basis of the job application, the job interview, and the reference given.

includes, but is not limited to, being videotaped, photographed, and/or recorded for school community and
MCPS use. I have discussed with my child that this is an extra-curricular activity, and that behaviors and
performance in and outside of school can affect eligibility to stay on the TV news crew.
