Check out the Art Blog online! Go to: www.ArtatShriver.blogspot.com. ESOL Nook Read and reread stories with your child in your language and/or English and a conversation about the story. Ask your child to name and describe the characters (e.g., friendly, mean, clever, etc.), describe how they felt at different parts of the story (e.g., bored, impatient, excited, anxious. etc) and why they did what they did in the story. Ask your child when (for example, night, season, weather) and where (e.g., home, forest, farm, city) the story happened. Try to figure out what the problem in the story was and how it was solved. These are the same questions teachers are asking about the stories we read. You can also ask your child to tell you about a story they liked from school! Use your home language and/or English because BOTH are helpful to your child’s growing brain. Reminders @ShriverES and @Principal_SSES Dress your child for the weather (we will be outside all day) and wear comfortable shoes. If you are packing a lunch for your child, please no glass bottles. Please check Red Thursday folders, review and remove all papers, and send them back to school on Friday. Please continue to practice your child's lunch number with them! Follow our school and Mrs. Brown on Twitter to hear about what’s happening at Shriver! For the farm field trip…
