Subject Snapshot
During MP2, students will focus on the skills of
Synthesis and Metacognition.
Math – Students will be working with adding and
subtracting fractions by using various models, including
pattern blocks, Cuisinaire rods, and number lines.
Writing – Students will develop inquiry questions and
research their questions in order to create an informative
writing paper.
Reading –Students will continue reading myths, then
transition to reading informational texts. While we read we
will be reviewing main idea and key details, comparing
settings, and integrating information from multiple
texts.
Science – Students will be working with circuits to learn
about the flow of electrical energy, then investigating
magnetism.
Social Studies – Students will continue to analyze how
conflict and compromise played a role during the
development of the U.S. Constitution.
Important Dates
December 10th- Family Reading Night, 7:00 p.m.
December 16th- Chorus Concert, 6:45 p.m.
December 24th-January 1st - No School (Winter Break).

encourage your child to
read as much as possible.

child practice basic math
facts, especially
multiplication and division.
